Hi,

I underwent an abortion on February 28th 2009 when i was around 8weeks pregnant.I had my next period after 31 days i.e. on 29th March 2009. After that i did not get my periods and we did had unprotected sex(me and my husband). Now i am 50 days due and haven't got my periods and my pregnancy test is positive. I had been to the doctor and she also did a Urine Pregnancy Test and came out to be positive. So the doctor did a TransVaginal Scan on 44th day but could not see any gestational sac but endometrium thickness is 18mm. Could you please let me know if endometrium thickness is a sign of pregnancy?Doctor has asked me to do a repeat scan on 23rd May 2009 which is my 56th day.

Hello Priya,

Thanks for your question. I'm not a medical professional and I haven't been able to find out anything about endometrium thickness and pregnancy that I can understand. I found a couple of articles but they are confusing and I can't understand the meaning.

I would advise you to talk to your doctor about this. If the doctor said you are pregnant, I don't understand about not being able to see the gestational sac.
