My daughter had an abortion weeks ago and this is her first period after.
she has severe back pain and is hunched over and bleeding heavy is this normal or does she has a infection

To begin with, abortion isn't normal. If she wasn't having this kind of period in the past, then clearly something is wrong. The abortion did some kind of damage. She should see a doctor to get to the bottom of this; it could be serious. If she bleeds too much, that could weaken her, and yes, she could have an infection. Please take her to someone other than the person who did the abortion.

Watch for signs that she may hemorrhage. If she does, she needs immediate emergency care. But if you get her to a doctor, hopefully he'll get to the bottom of it before something like that happens. I am getting reports from women and other knowledgeable people that women are bleeding to death after pill abortions. It can happen after surgical abortions as well, particularly if the abortionist perforates the uterus or causes other injury.

Please let me know what you find out. I hope your daughter's body will return to normal soon, and please give her a hug for me.
