Hello pat
I am just writing I had a surgical abortion 11 days ago in mass u.s.a and I got on the nuva ring on the same day.I haven't had sex or anything is I am waiting to heal and fondly I'm not in the mood after what has happend.my question is that I have a nasty odor coming out the vagina I was put on 7 days doxycicline but I'm just not sure if it can be an infection?I have an appointment on july 30 of 09 so if I don't hear from you ill have an answer by then.

You're welcome.
Whenever I hear about a nasty odor, I suspect possible infection. So I encourage you to have it checked out. Not everything will yield to doxycycline.
I can certainly understand you not wanting to have sex. And I would advise against it, not only because it will increase your chances of infection, but because it got you in a position that you had an abortion once already. If you aren't married to your partner, it's probably not in your best interests to have sex with him anyway. You deserve better. You deserve a man who will give you a solid commitment, and not just look at the superficial pleasure of casual sex.
Please see a doctor quickly. I have no way of determining how serious your situation might be, but I certainly wouldn't be lax about this. Please do get it checked out. Go to someone other than the person who provided the abortion. Please let me know what you find out, and how you do. Take care.
