About Pat G
Expertise
I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of six. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues.

Experience
I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.

Abortion - pregnancy after an abortion

Question
I had unprotected sex 13 days after i had an abortion and i was still bleeding
from it.  And he came in me and after the sex i started to bleed a lot. Is it
possible that i could have gotten pregnant?

Answer
Hi, Ashley,

It seems to me unlikely, but I can't tell you for sure. Since you were still bleeding, it's likely that you simply got contractions from the sex, which caused more bleeding. If you were still bleeding, you're running the risk of getting an infection. Your uterus is open to the outside world, and abortion causes injuries that would give one an avenue.

But if you don't want to have another abortion, you will need to find another way to express yourselves. Condoms don't work, so at least you got that part right. The only way to know is wait about three weeks, test, then if it's negative, test again, and if you still have questions, see a doctor. But you will still be at risk as long as you are continuing to have sex.

Your best bet is to be patient, and test, and if necessary, see a doctor. How long has it been since the sex?

Feel free to ask me further. Take care of yourself!
