Question
I had written earlier and I was afraid of it being an injury because they advised me to be on light duty for a week at work and my boss didn't care and kept pushing me to work harder so now I am afraid I had caused injury to myself by doing so and I only had to pay for one abortion because the first one didn't work my next follow up is on tuesday August 17,2009

Answer
Hello, lina,

Have you told your boss you had outpatient surgery, and that your doctor told you to take it easy? However, the fact you were working so hard could explain the heavy bleeding, because heavy work (especially physical work) will cause the uterus to contract, and your abdominal muscles will also squeeze your uterus. You still need to know whether there has been injury. You really do need to go to a different doctor. Seriously. The person who did the abortions can't be trusted because he even used a medication he never should have used on you. These folks often don't want to admit it when they make a mistake. The medication itself can cause uterine rupture. That's because it can cause contractions so severe that they result in this kind of damage. Watch yourself closely, get some hot peppers (food or supplement) and if you see any signs of hemorrhage, get to the hospital immediately. Have someone take you. I hope and pray you will be fine. Please let me know how you do.

Expertise

I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of eleven. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues. I am not a doctor, but I have done extensive medical research, so I may be able to help with information. I am female. When you write, if you are or were pregnant, please tell me how far along you were or are, and if you have had an abortion, please tell me what kind. Thank you.

Experience

I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.
