HI... I`m latika,age 22. I went through an abortion on may 13th 2009 by intaking MIFEPRISTONE MISOPROSTOL TABLETS. The process was normal without much pain and bleeding happend for 4 days. Before that my last period was on march 16th 2009. After abortion my next period occured on june21st 2009,again on july 26th 2009, and on august 23rd 2009. All these 3 months, during ovulation i`m facing severe pain in the abdomen. I never experienced such kind of pain before. During a period i`m not having any pain.
I`m having a doubt whether there is still some particals unwanted fetus. can u please suggest me what is my position and symptoms for remainings of unwanted fetus and side effects..

I wish I could tell you directly what is wrong, but I will simply have to share some facts with you. Misoprostol should NEVER be given to a pregnant woman, because it can kill her within hours. The manufacturer says it is NOT to be used. One of the reasons is because it can cause contractions so severe that they rupture the uterus. I don't know what other kinds of damage it can cause, but it is dangerous medication. It sounds like you have sustained some damage.

If you were still pregnant with a living child, by now I'm sure you would know it. So I think we can pretty much rule that out. It's possible that there are remains, however, and this could mean an infection. Since you said you didn't have much pain at the time, I am assuming that your uterus didn't rupture. However, you were too far along for a pill abortion to work anyway. And you should have observed something more than just a little bleeding. So this means that you probably do have remains.

I recommend you go to the doctor and get him to check you thoroughly. This isn't something to mess around with. Pain means something is wrong. Tell him exactly what you told me. Please let me know what you find out, and how you do. Please be careful, and don't take any more dangerous medications. Abortion by any method IS dangerous and can cause serious harm.
