Question
I had an abortion in May this year, and i was 22 weeks at the time. I was bleeding for more than 2 weeks,then rested for a week, then my period came after the week of resting. It was light and mainly brownish in colour. Then after 21 days i had my period again, and this time it was dark red and heavy, and only lasted 2 days. I had it again after 21 days, and again it was dark red in colour and heavy, and lasted two days. I do experience cramping regularly, but it's not too bad, but my problem is i experience it whether or not am on my period. Is all this normal? I'm really worried.

Thanks for your question. I have received reports lately of abnormalities in bleeding after abortion. Did you have a post abortion checkup approximately 2 weeks after the abortion? I would be a little worried about the cramping so perhaps something is not quite right. Can you have a checkup by a doctor just to make sure? Let me know what happens.
