Abortion/Heavy bleeding 1 month after abortion

Question
My LMP was June 26. I had medical abortion with misoprostol first week of august. I took 6 pcs, 2 vaginally and 2 bucally.. after 3 hours i took 2 pcs bucally again. I bled for 2 days.. not really heavy but there were absolutely no clots. Then the bleeding completely stopped. 2nd of September, I had very heavy bleeding with big clots (like the size of a small lemon) every now and then. I even have "gush" of blood coming out of me every once in a while. These are fresh, bright red blood.

I want to know if there's something wrong with me, if it's alarming. Because I'm staying in a country where abortion is very much illegal.. I cannot go to the hospital, coz I'm afraid that they're going to find out that I induced labor.. I'm going to jail for sure. And honestly, I'd rather die of hemorrhage than going to jail in this country.

Thank you so much. I hope you can answer my question.

Answer
Hi Zyra,

It is normal to bleed up to 5 weeks after an abortion however the large blood clots you had are worrying me and could possibly be dangerous. I would advise you go to the hospital but you can lie and say you had a miscarriage so you will not be sent to jail. Good luck!
