When I was 17, my mom made me get an abortion and I was just wondering if I would still be able to have children since the procedure was over 2 years ago. I am not going to lie, the whole situation messed with my head a lot and now I feel like everything has fallen apart in my life ever since. I know that she meant well but now all I want is that baby back and since I know that I cant have that one, I would like to have one soon. It isn't like I couldn't handle it because my boyfriend and I are back together (broke up after the whole abortion thing), I have my own place and car and could support it fine on my own and it just helps that he will be there with me. But I have been trying for over 9 months with no luck. I have even kept track of my ovulation with calendars. Could there be something wrong with me that can't be fixed?? Or could all the stress and depression be getting to me?

Thanks for your question. I do feel sorry for you and would like to send you some post abortion healing literature. I could send it to you, free, if you send me your mailing address. When you wrote about wanting another baby, it reminded me that this thought is one of the symptoms of post abortion stress syndrome. And sometimes, there are physical things that happen after abortion as well. It could be possible that your body was damaged in some way that would cause partial infertility. Or it just could be the stress and depression. There are a lot of factors that could lead to you not being able to be pregnant.
