Question
Good EVENING,
I wonder if you can answer my question, and if you can please be honest with me. I am currently pregnant, 5 weeks and 3 days, 2 days ago i had a bleed which is now stopped and was given an internal investigation and told that cervix was shut... good NEWS. was sent to early pregnancy unit next morning for a scan, and here they said that they could find a gestational sac but at present no fetal pole or yolk sac as could be too early.....this  is fine with me. They also mentioned that the gestational sac was not where it should be and was in the lower uterine wall and that it was an abnormal shape. I have read that some TV scans can make it shape odd and also if 2 pregnancy, gets..... What i want to know is, If  pregnancy does become viable, can a pregnancy continue in this area??? I have 6 living children and have lost 12 children re miscarriage,   but have never had this diagnoses before. I know I am high risk of miscarraige also woth history and age I am 37, but just want to know if there is a chance no matter how small.

many thanks for taking your time in reading this email

Answer
Hi Sam,

I will be honest with you. From what you have described to me this could either end up in miscarriage or a normal pregnancy. I have seen both happen. It's a 50/50 chance. I have seen this happen and it turned out to be a healthy pregnancy. I am guessing you are being given another ultrasound soon, I understand you will worry but try not to worry too much until you know for sure at your next ultrasound. Good luck!
