Question
Hello
I took the the 1st pill associate with the abortion pill on 8/12 orally @ the abortion clinic and the following day after work I inserted the rest of the pills vaginally.  Everything went smoothly I cramp and bleed heavy for about a hour or two but however I'm still bleeding not heavy sometimes its light to moderate bleeding.  Before I left the clinic the nurse ask what type of birth control was I using I told her the ortho- low so she told me to go ahead and start it the Sunday after the abortion so that what I did.  So I don't know if me taking the birth control pills is the reason why I'm still have some sort of bleeding I'm just concern if this bleeding is normal. Please help.  Thanks

Answer
Hi Denise,

It could be linked with the birth control you are taking. Bleeding this long without any pause is generally not normal. You may have tissue left inside your uterus. You will need to go to your doctor for an ultrasound to determine the cause of your bleeding.
