Question
i had a medical abortion on july 12th i went back for my checkup on the 24th and everything had gone as planned well they put me on the depo provera shot that day and to this day i am spotting and it is dark is this normal or is something wrong b/c everytime i've gotten on the depo shot before i stopped any type of bleeding immediately i'm just a little confused and looking for an answer as to why this is happening

Answer
Hi Miranda,

I don't recommend the depo shot because of side effects and risks. Perhaps the bleeding is not from the depo but from the medical abortion. We have been receiving reports from women who have medical abortions that there is excessive and/or extended bleeding. Please go to a doctor if you have any doubt about your bleeding. There are accounts of women bleeding to death and also have grave complications. So please be careful and watch your bleeding closely. Consider going back to your doctor about this. Please email me at DCHERYL51@yahoo.com and tell me how you are doing.

Sincerely,
Diane Cheryl
