Question
QUESTION: now i am caring for 1month & 7days baby.I don't want to continue. Is it possible to abortion now? or i have to wait some more days for abortion?

thanks

ANSWER: Hello, farhana,

Are you saying that you are 1 month and 7 days pregnant, or that you are caring for a newborn?

While there are unscrupulous people who might do an abortion on you when you are only a month along, there is no guarantee that an abortion won't seriously injure you. It could even kill you. It could also harm your future children. There are women who are writing to me from your country and other nearby countries who have been seriously harmed, and in some cases, they may never regain their health, or they may even be dead by now. You really deserve better.

I don't recommend you have an abortion. If you are facing difficulties, especially if there are family or social problems you face, you should contact this place:

Community Health & NFP Centre     I/C/1/E, Pollabi, Mirpur 11 1/2     Dhaka          1221     BANGLADESH     880/2 803217

They can offer you help with whatever difficulties you face.

Let me know what your circumstances are, and I will see what suggestions I can make. Please take care of yourself. Don't try this dangerous thing.

QUESTION: then how much time should i wait?

Answer
Farhana,

There is NO safe time to get an abortion. If you want someone who will advise you on when you should hurt yourself, you'll have to ask someone else. I won't help you hurt yourself. It is unethical, and I can't recommend it anyway, because I would be practicing medicine without a license. I would get into a lot of trouble. Go talk to the people in Dhaka. It won't hurt. The more you know, the happier you will be in the long run.

If you do go ahead with an abortion and you get hurt, I will be here for you. But like I said, I won't help you hurt yourself.

Expertise

I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of eleven. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues. I am not a doctor, but I have done extensive medical research, so I may be able to help with information. I am female. When you write, if you are or were pregnant, please tell me how far along you were or are, and if you have had an abortion, please tell me what kind. Thank you.

Experience

I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.
