Hello, I had a surgical abortion on Nov. 20. They prescride me birth control pills Loestrin 24 and told me to start taking the next day. I have been having bright red blood spotting im not bleeding heavy right now just a little only for a pantyliner. Is this normal for it be bright red. Also the birth control i might be having side effects like nausea, headaches, dizzines, breast tenderness, numbness in part of my legs.
This is normal. Take the pill at night and that decreases the nausea. The other symptoms will go away over the next few weeks. Call your doctor regarding the headaches if they are getting worse. Numbness is a non-specific symptom. Call the doctor to make a decision about switching the pill.
