Question
I've had 4 abortions in the 1st trimester and 1 in the third. If the doctors found complications with the surgery do they have to tell you, because I've been trying for eight years since my abortions, but I haven't had any success. My menstrual cycles have been regular, yet painful. Could I be infertile due to complications?

Answer
Hi Khaliyah,
Normally abortions do not lead to changes in fertility as long as they were performed in a medical setting.
Doctors have to tell you if there are complications; but they are not all angels.
So I must disappoint you; I am not sure.
Best way is to see a ObGyn doc and discuss this matter with him.
They can examen you and see whats going on better than I.
Also consider the possibility that your partner is not fertile.
Bests,
Dr Shan
