I had a missed miscarriage on 1/23/10. I was told to go to a highly recommended abortion clinic. I went, had D&C and was put on antibiotics. I started having large clots about 4-5 days later. I went to the emergency room for severe AB pain. They told me I had an infection and might need another D&C. They sent me home with more antibiotics, pain meds and follow up with Doc. The pain got worst. I returned to the ER 2 more times before they did the surgery again. I saw the Doc after 2 weeks, STILL was in pain after I stopped the antibiotics. He said I still have an infection and my cervix was still open. He was surprised that it was as opened as it was. I took the meds again for the 3rd time. It's now been a month since the 2nd D&C and my cervix is still open and starting to have some pain again. Why is it still open? Why would the Doc say it's ok to have sex with an open cervix and an infection? I want to have another child....could my cervix stay open from all the surgery's? One last question could I have passed my infection to my husband, then him pass it back to me?

I've had 8 total miscarriages
I've had a total of 3 D&C's
I was 13 weeks pregnant when I found out I missed miscarried
I want to have another baby

You really were unlucky. I doubt that clinic was  a good one. Where was that ?
I can ask for you what they did in fact. And who that doc was.
Yes, if the cervix was damaged by all the interventions, it may stay open for a while.
I also have some questions:
What do you think about 5 children ? Enough or not ? What's your age and why more kids ?
With you I think it is not good to have sex without condom. Indeed you can pass your infection to your partner and back. That's called a pingpong infection.
