Hi,
  I found out i was pregnant Feb. 10th 2010. I went to my student health clinic. because of severe pelvic pain and i have a history of PID. The told me i was pregnant so I went to a gynecologist.  After a vaginal ultrasound she found the yolk sac and said i was six weeks, there was no heartbeat at that time. That Friday i went to work and experienced severe pain, dizziness, and vomiting. I came home and my boyfriend made me go to the hospital. After awhile they said it seemed as though an ovarian cyst had ruptured since there was all this free floating fluid in my abdomen. After a laparotomy, to suck out the fluid and remove another cyst, i was released from the hospital on Feb. 14th.  While at the hospital they performed two more ultrasounds and the first they found a heartbeat but said it was very slow for the time period about 70bpm.  I went to terminate the pregnancy the following day. After all that information the problem i am experiencing now is that at nearly 3 weeks i still have significant pain. The bleeding has dissipated today, but the pain is persistent.  The clinic suggested more rest and exercise restrictions for another week and that my activity has probably prevented me from healing quickly. I understand that abortion side effects are different for all women, but is it in the range of normality to still experience a level 7 of pain (out of 10) this late after the abortion.

Hi Joy,

The short answer is no.
Your pain has nothing to do with the very early abortion.
I think its related to the laparotomy.
And thats not my field of experience. So I would advise you to
go back to the place where you were operated on.
