Question
Hello,
I have a couple questions regarding a surgical abortion. I had this done on Friday March 12th, I have read mixed reviews on how long to wait to have sex again, I have heard 1 week or 2 weeks. If using protection is 2 weeks necessary?
Also, I have been a bit paranoid with the rules/guidelines after abortion. Two days after my procedure I went on an already planned vacation that I am currently on, is a lot of walking, amusement parks and activity ok as long as I am not getting in any water?

The waiting for 2 weeks is not because of chance of pregnancy, which there is, but also because of infection because of your physical condition. You need to let your body heal. You should also take it easy on the exercise and physical activity and try to rest more. Don't forget to go to your hopefully scheduled post abortion appointment. This is necessary and for your own health concerns.
