Question
Hello, the last first day of my last menstrual period was Jan 13th. Then I had a medication abortion on March 10th, it was finally expelled in the 12th, I unfortunately had to see it, and the worst thing is I really didn't want to do it, but my vulnerability kind of got me easily influenced. Well, on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd I had unprotected sex, but on the 22nd I think my bf ejaculated in me. What are the chances of me being pregnant again?

Answer
Hello, Melenie,

As I have said, my heart goes out to you. You deserve better. As I mentioned before, pregnancy from that incident is unlikely, but can't be ruled out. At this point, though, it's not a question of what your chances are. You are either pregnant or you are not. You should test for pregnancy 3 weeks from the last date you had sex. If it is positive, test again in about a week. You should see a decline in the results of the test. That's the best I can tell you at this point. If you don't want to face the problem again, don't have sex. "Protection" doesn't work. Please take care, and keep in touch. Get some counseling from the local organization. As I mentioned, you can find that by going to this web site:

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of eleven. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues. I am not a doctor, but I have done extensive medical research, so I may be able to help with information. I am female. When you write, if you are or were pregnant, please tell me how far along you were or are, and if you have had an abortion, please tell me what kind. Thank you.

Experience

I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.
