Question
Hi, I would like to know how  can I get mifeprex in Greece, can I buy it online? Do you know a site called www.womenonwaves.com? Is it safe to buy it from there? Thank you so much!

Answer
Hello, gabi,

Mifeprex is dangerous and could kill you. I wouldn't want to help you do that to yourself. womenonwaves.com is totally unscrupulous. Don't trust them. Their site is off the internet anyway, at least at the moment. I know of at least one abortionist who may work there, and he won't even use the pills because they are not reliable.

A person should go to a doctor for a prescription, and not prescribe for herself. That's why we have doctors. They have knowledge and wisdom. If you go to a doctor, he should take a proper medical history, and find out if you have breast cancer in your family. If you have breast cancer in your family, these powerful drugs could cause you to get it while you are still young, such as in your 30's. This kind of breast cancer kills about 1/4 of its victims. If you don't have breast cancer in your family, there is still a risk, though it is not as great. But never minimize this.

The medical literature says:

"In clinical trials, nearly all women using mifepristone experienced some type of bleeding for 30 days or more. Other less common side effects included nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, and fever. Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is a very rare but serious complication. Excessive bleeding and incomplete termination of a pregnancy require further intervention by a doctor (such as vacuum aspiration). Between 4.5 and 7.9% of women required surgical intervention in clinical trials.[18] Mifepristone is contraindicated in the presence of an intrauterine device (IUD), as well as with ectopic pregnancy, adrenal failure, hemorrhagic disorders, inherited porphyria, and anticoagulant or long-term corticosteroid therapy.

"The FDA prescribing information states that there are no data on the safety and efficacy of mifepristone in women with chronic medical conditions, and that "women who are more than 35 years of age and who also smoke 10 or more cigarettes per day should be treated with caution because such patients were generally excluded from clinical trials of mifepristone.""

If the drug doesn't work, they may want to do a surgical abortion on you. This type of abortion can also cause breast cancer, and it can cause serious birth defects in your future children as well, not to mention that it can kill you or leave you paralyzed or unable to speak. It could stop you from ever having children.

Please let me know why you intend to take this powerful drug. There are better answers for you. Here is an organization that will help you:

You deserve to hear what your options are while you still have some. Hear what they have to say before you do anything. You may well be feeling a sense of panic. People don't make good decisions while they are in a panic. You need to stop and think about whether you really want to do this to yourself, or whether carrying a pregnancy might actually harm you less. Abortion is ALWAYS dangerous. They HAVE to hurt you to perform one, because our bodies were designed to protect our children.

Please let me know how you do, and please stay safe. Don't take this awful chance. I am praying for you.

Expertise

I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of eleven. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues. I am not a doctor, but I have done extensive medical research, so I may be able to help with information. I am female. When you write, if you are or were pregnant, please tell me how far along you were or are, and if you have had an abortion, please tell me what kind. Thank you.

Experience

I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.
