QUESTION: "I had abortion trough mtp kit by cipla..after taking 1 tablet of Mifepristone…200 mg..nothing happened.then after 24 hr I had taken Misoprostol…200 mcg in mor then in ever ,then bleeding started alonge with cramping but nothing come out then again I had taken Misoprostol…200 mcg in mor and then in again in evening ..bleeding is still there but noting came out, I completed the mpt kit course last night but still nothing came out or blood clothing ..its just bleeding like period that also light , I was told that some white substance will come out or clot will come out..but till now its just bleeding   Pls help I am worried what should I do??is my abortion sucessfull??"

ANSWER: Hi Meg,
you did not tell me how many weeks your pregnancy was.
In very young pregnancies the fetus can be missed easily.
A 5 weeks fetus is not bigger than a grain of rice.
The best you can do is take a pregtest in 2 weeks time.
Than you are sure whats going on.
In the meantime donot have unprotected intercourse !
Have patience and do not worry (yet)

QUESTION: thanks for advice..i was 4 week 3 days pregant at that time..this is 2nd day after mtp kit course complete but still i am bleeding..i ask my friend she said bleeding should stop within 5 day also to do pregancy test after 5 days..the pain is decreasing now but i am worried as still nothing came out and i don't want to go for surgical operation and now also worried for future pregancy..

Hi there,
a 4 weeks pregnancy is very easily overlooked in some blood. Bleeding CAN stop within 5 days, but many times does NOT. I 've seen clients bleeding for 3 weeks.  Also it is useless to do a pregtest 5 days after the abortion.
If she was pregnant that test is still positive as pregnancy hormones leave the blood slowly. If that test now is negative she has not been pregnant at all.
No worry for future pregnancy; I just think you panic too fast and too early.
Just wait a bit longer. At this moment there is no action needed.
