Question
I had a surgical abortion and bleed for 5 weeks after. I went to the doctor and she gave me some antibiotics. She also told me my next period would be in 2 weeks. So 2 weeks later i got my period and its been very thick and brown on some days to bright red on others. I have had my period for over a week now and it is very heavy. I started yaz on the 1st day of my period so i don't know if that affects anything. Help

No panic !
After an abortion bleeding patterns may change every day. Old blood is dark and more solid than fresh period blood.
Its OK that you started Yaz. It will regulate your periods.
The antibiotics after 5 weeks do not make sense at all. Useless.
So what you need is patience.
If you think you are losing too much blood, its advisable to eat vegetables and red meat; or take
iron pills.
