QuestionI had an abortion 4 days ago and been spotting ever since. On the 3rd day I started having a creamy red discharge and a irritation that iches but it dosen't have a foul odor nor does it burn.Is this normal?
AnswerHello, kate,
I assume from the fact you have only been spotting that you had a surgical abortion. Would that be correct?
Having an abortion isn't normal, and neither are any of the side effects and complications. But assuming I am correct about you having a surgical abortion, some things come to mind. It sounds like a possible allergic reaction. At least the itching does. They might have used Betadine on you, for example. I know that a person can develop an allergy from this commonly used disinfectant after only one use or two. Do you have any redness or rash? If this is what is happening, an antihistamine should help. These are readily available over the counter in the US. Read the labels. A lot of them have other ingredients. Finding one with an antihistamine may be a bit of a challenge, because antihistamines make people sleepy, and that worries pharmacies and drug companies. A person might have an accident and sue. Be careful of any kind of painkiller; some of them are potentially harmful. Personally, I only use aspirin, and I also take cayenne at the same time. This helps prevent me from getting nosebleeds from the aspirin. Aspirin will help with itching as well as pain. Another possibility is that you might have reacted to the anesthetic. Either way, you may have a toxic body as a result of your abortion. This would be true even if what you had was a pill abortion.
My favorite herbal combination for detoxifying is called Detox and it's sold by Solaray. A normal dose is 10 capsules at once, and it only takes one or two doses. Any time I have to have any kind of medications, I use it. This includes anesthesia and a host of other things.
Creamy red discharge is a puzzlement. Creamy implies that there are a lot of white blood cells in it, which suggests a significant infection. If you had a pill abortion, and took pills vaginally, go to the doctor IMMEDIATELY and get tested for Clostridium sordellii. Don't go back to whoever helped you have an abortion. Go to someone else altogether. Once symptoms appear from Clostridium sordellii, a woman has only hours to live, and I am unaware of any treatment that can save her life. If I were in that position, I would take colloidal silver for a couple of weeks. I'd start by getting some from the health food store so I have it right away, and I'd order NutraSilver online, and start taking that as soon as it arrives. Colloidal silver works well on bacteria, and C. sordellii is a bacterium. Most likely, you wouldn't see creamy from such an infection because the woman's body doesn't fight back. But if you had a pill abortion vaginally, go anyway. There are plenty of other possible infections a woman can get from an abortion, including sexually transmitted diseases and pelvic inflammatory disease. These are caused by the fact that abortionists often don't sterilize their instruments properly. So if anyone prior to you has such an infection, you can get it. If you had a surgical abortion, you should get tested for diseases soon. Watch also and see if you start to develop an odor from this discharge. Also, don't have sex until your body is back to normal. If you aren't married, you'd be wise to stop having sex completely anyway, because if you use "protection" or any other method to try to prevent pregnancy, it is unlikely to work in the long run, and you'll be right back where you were before you had the abortion. Pill abortions alter a woman's hormonal balance, which potentially could make her more susceptible to infection or disease. So do birth control pills.
In general, I have not heard from women with this particular complaint, so I'd have to assume it's not that common. But get yourself checked out thoroughly just in case it's something serious.
Please let me know what you find out, and take care!
