Question
Hello Dr. Shaan,

I had a pill abortion with consultation of my doctor on 28 and 30th of March, since it was about 1.1 month pregnancy only. It bleeded for almost 3 days. Had an Ultrasound done, which reported  complete abortion. Now its 3 weeks, and I still have not got any periods. Normally i used to have 25-28 days menstruation cycle, according to which I should have got my periods by now. How long should I wait for my periods, if its normal ? Also am getting some pimples on my face and tender breasts since than, which doesn't happens normally. Are these post abortion symptoms ? Normally how long these symptoms last? Please suggest asap.

Answer
Hi Ishina,
after an abortion bleeding patterns and periods tend to be irregular for up to 4 months.
So there are no safe days. Pimples are also hormone related, but will disappear as long as you do not
touch them.
Use contraception unless you want a baby.
No worry, time will help you.
Bye bye for now,

Dr Shan
