QUESTION: Hello Doctor,
When i am 32 days of pregnancy i took mifepristone and next day i took 2 misoprostol 200 mcg tablet ,then bleeding is there for 1 day only after that i undergone ultra sound scan in which endometrium thickness is more than normal.now what should i do?
it is completely cleaned r not?

ANSWER: Hello, Lakshmi,

First, please know that I am not a doctor. I am simply a woman who has done a lot of research and talked to a lot of women.

There are a couple of important things you haven't told me. When you say 32 days, do you mean from the time of your last period, or from the time you probably conceived? Also, how long ago did you take those pills?

Greater endometrium thickness would be normal for being pregnant. Did they tell you it was excessive for being pregnant? It would still be thick the day after taking pills. Or did they do this scan sometime later? Before I can really tell you anything, you will have to give me these additional details. Also, you should NOT go back to the people who provided the pills. They acted unethically and incompetently, and they can cause you further harm.

As for what you should do, you shouldn't do anything. These pills are dangerous and can kill you. In general, abortion is very, very dangerous. There are so many possible things that could go wrong, and ways in which an abortion can harm your body, sometimes permanently, that I have books full of this information.

If you are facing difficulties and need help, I may be able to tell you where you can get the help you need. Let me know what makes abortion seem desirable to you.

If you let me know the answers to my questions, I can tell you more about your particular situation. So please respond. Take care, and stay safe!

QUESTION: 32 Days mean it is from L.M.P
on 32nd day i took the pill
i did scan 2 days after i took the pill

Answer
Hello, Lakshmi,

Thank you for the additional information. It is unlikely the pills did anything at all. And it's also unlikely that a scan only two days later would show any significant change.

As for what you should do, you should leave everything alone. Don't take any more pills. They are dangerous. They can kill you. There's no point in killing yourself over the situation. For one thing, women are bleeding to death after taking those pills. The manufacturer of misoprostol says a pregnant woman should NEVER take those pills. It is especially dangerous to use them vaginally. There are several ways those pills can kill you. I don't know who is taking advantage of you, but all they want is your money. If you bought the pills someplace, then the people who sold you the pills, and the people who put them in a package, are both taking advantage of you.

Let me know what kind of help you need so you can take care of yourself. Also, let me know what part of India you are in. I will let you know where you can get help. You really deserve better.

Thanks! Stay safe!

I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.
