Answer
Hello, navya,

Having an abortion is not normal, and neither are the medical consequences, some of which you are experiencing.

You are right to be concerned. These pills are dangerous and can kill you. The manufacturer of misoprostol says a pregnant woman should NEVER take it. It can cause a woman to bleed to death (and I'm getting messages from women in India who ARE bleeding to death), cause her uterus to rupture, or cause her to develop toxic shock syndrome. This is caused by Clostridium sordellii. Once a woman starts to experience symptoms, I am unaware of any medical treatment that can save her life. It kills within hours. If that isn't bad enough, the pills might not even work, and they can cause birth defects, and if a woman survives all that, they can cause her to get breast cancer while she is still young. 1/4 of the women who get this breast cancer will die from it.

You need to see a decent doctor IMMEDIATELY. Don't go to anyone who supplied or suggested the pills. The doctor should test you for Clostridium sordellii, and if you have it, he should start immediate and aggressive treatment. Please go do that right now. Please let me know how you do, and don't take any more pills! Please.

Once you have recovered, we can talk about where you can find the help you deserve.

Expertise

I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of eleven. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues. I am not a doctor, but I have done extensive medical research, so I may be able to help with information. I am female. When you write, if you are or were pregnant, please tell me how far along you were or are, and if you have had an abortion, please tell me what kind. Thank you.

Experience

I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.
