Question
I had a surgical abortion done two days ago on my ninth week of pregnancy and I am fealing fine but I had sex with my boyfriend last night and he was wearing a condom.. I wanted to know what my risks are?
Also the doctor prescribed metronidazole and doxycycline but I'm not sure what they are for and I avoided taking them last night because i knew i was going to go out and drink with my friends, but I started taking doxycycline today... Im worried i might be harming my body since I didn't take the meds and I dont know why they were prescribed..?

Answer
Hi Brenda,
strange that you do not ask the doc who prescribes these antibiotics what they are for.
They were for preventing infection, but obviously you were lucky; and do not need them now anymore.
You are not harming your body.
Better not have umprotected sex when you do not want a baby so take care because after an aborton
periods and bleeding patterns tend to be very irregular for a prolonged period. No safe days now !
Hope this answers your question.
Bye for now,
