Question
Hi, i was hoping that you could help me, i had an abortion in nov 2001 and i havnt been able to get pregnant since. (even though my partner and i have been having sex with no protection)
we would love to have a baby but it seems that it will never happen.
i feel very down about this, my partner knows how i feel but there is nothing he can do/say to me to make me feel better.
please help. thank you. x
Hi Jane,
I can't tell you for sure if you can get pregnant. Sometimes abortion causes problems in your body that will prevent you from having children. There are many problems that abortion can cause and it's too bad that doctors do not have to warn women about the risks in advance.
You might want to try to not add additional stress to yourself at this time. This could be dangerous for your health. Write back and let me know how things are doing.
