I have the copper IUD and I'm pregnant! I oviously don't want kids that's why I got the IUD n I'm so shocked n scared. Can I have an abortion while the IUD is in there? I do not want this baby, I don't have insurance so haven't talked 2 a doctor yet. But please tell me I can have an abortion??

Obviously, women use an IUD when they don't want to be pregnant, so I can understand completely.

There is a place where you can get some free medical help. They can answer this question for you. There are organizations all over the United States that help pregnant women. You can find one near you by going to this web site:

Tell me why you are afraid. Perhaps I can help. Women are pregnant and have children all the time, so there must be something in your life that is making it seem impossible for you. Do you think that life as you know it will be over if you have this baby? What problems are you facing? Please think about this, and consider it, because abortion is forever. And abortion is very dangerous. It can kill you, and it can cause serious harm to your future children. Every abortion damages a woman's body. It has to. Our bodies were designed to protect our children, and so our bodies have to be harmed in order to do an abortion in the first place. Sure, they're telling us it's safe. They're lying. Abortion has killed thousands of women in the United States since it became legal. And about 1/3 of all women who get abortions have permanent damage to their reproductive organs. Abortion also causes other problems, not related, such as harm to other internal organs, bleeding to death; it can rupture a woman's uterus or there can be a perforation. It can cause a woman to become paralyzed or unable to speak. It can cause horrible nightmares, or cause other serious emotional harm. The chance a woman will commit suicide is 7 times greater after an abortion. She can also die from accident, homicide, drug or alcohol abuse, or she can develop eating disorders, or start to harm herself. And a woman can get a sexually transmitted disease from an abortion, because many abortionists don't sterilize their instruments properly. Pill abortions can kill a woman in several ways, and having a pill abortion with an IUD in place could cause the IUD to puncture your uterus. And once you have an abortion, you can't take it back. Abortion is forever. I have lost count of the number of women who have told me, "Not a day goes by that I don't think of my baby."

So to answer your question, first, abortion is never safe, whether a woman has an IUD or not. Obviously an IUD will make things more complicated. You really need to talk to a decent doctor, one who truly respects you and your life. Please find the organization near you and ask them to help you find a good doctor. A doctor who isn't willing to admit that abortion harms women won't take good care of you.
