QUESTION: Good day sir.

I have sme quiuestions bothering me. I saw my last period on the 13th oa April, and had unprotected intercourse just once: 26th of April. I took postinor an hour after but was still on the edge about it not working. I expected my period on the 9th, and when I didn't see it, I took a test which turned out positive.

Abortion is illegal where I live, and mifeprostone isn't available here. I was able to get methotrexate and was given a shot that same day, I.e the 28th day after my last period.

I was wondering if it was too early to try a medical abortion since its a very early pregnancy. Thank you.

Methotrexate is a little tricky.
Where did you get the information and what dosage did you take ?
The younger the pregnancy is the better it works.
But make sure that the pregnancy is gone. Have a pregtest done in a month time.

QUESTION: Thanks for the speedy reply. I am in Nigeria. I took 100mg, the dose is 50mg/m2 and my BSA is 2 so I took hundred mg. I took it sunday afternoon, its tueday morning here now. So I guess I have to take misoprostol in 72 hrs. I was just scared that sice the fetus was barely two weeks old, the mtx may not work.

Also, here the practice for misoprostol is 3 vaginally and four anally simultaneously. Am scared to try that though.

you know too much and too little  ((;-) !
100 mg of meto is OK.
Misoprostol should be taken buccally NOT by vagina or anus.
Take the Miso now. No more waiting. The dose is 4 tablets buccally. Do not swallow, let melt in your mouth.
