Answer
Hello, Deanna,

You really should have a negative pregnancy test at this point. So it probably means a new pregnancy. This is especially true since you had a period. You should check, however, to see how strong the pregnancy is, because 1/4 of pregnancies end in miscarriage anyway.

You really shouldn't consider having another abortion. Abortion damages a woman's body. It can kill you. The more abortions a woman has, the more damage is done. Also, a woman can get into a pattern of having repeat abortions. The only way to break the pattern is either to become unable to have children, stop having sex, or carry a baby to term. You are already facing some unnecessary risks from the abortion you have had. I will give you details if you would like to know. There are better answers, and you deserve better.

Abortion can also cause serious emotional problems, and can lead to a violent death in the year afterward.

If you need help of any kind, please let me know. There are organizations all over the United States where people are willing to help you with whatever problems you face. To find an organization near you, please go to this web site:

http://www.pregnancycenters.org/

You deserve to hear what they have to say and what kind of help they will offer.

Please take care, stay safe, and let me know how things go.

Expertise

I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of eleven. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues. I am not a doctor, but I have done extensive medical research, so I may be able to help with information. I am female. When you write, if you are or were pregnant, please tell me how far along you were or are, and if you have had an abortion, please tell me what kind. Thank you.

Experience

I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.
