Question
QUESTION: Hello ma'am. I had abortion on 28th Nov. 2009. After that i had almost regular periods for next 4-5 months. Neither i went to doctor again for any regular checkups, as I thought everything is fine because of normal periods nor i used pregnancy strips. Problem is that that i should get period on 2nd June 2010 but i am delayed till date. Before pregnancy i used to had delayed periods for about 1.5-2.5 months. Now after abortion for having regular periods for 4-5 months i am again facing the problem of delayed periods. What is the reason behind this. Should i need to visit to doctor as i don't know how long this delayed period time will go? Please suggest me what should i do. I am worried as if there might be any problem related to termination.

ANSWER: Hi Neha,

Your problem is not related to the abortion you had in november 2009.
Sometimes in your life there are periods of irregular bleeding without a known cause.
If you take the contraception pill you soon will be regular again.
No need to see a doctor now.
If you want to be sure you'r pregnant or not, do a pregtest.
Hope this answers your question.
Bye for now,
Dr Shan

QUESTION: Thanks sir for your quick reply. I want to ask that do i need to worry about my abortion case which i had in november last year 2009. Also will it affect my future pregnancy. Am i normal like another women who are not aborted ever....Please answer in depth as i am tensed that i am more likely to face problems related to future pregnancy, breast cancer, and many other disorders.....The thing is so or not?? Also what should i do to have regular periods (i don't exrecise much and i take regular diet also)

ANSWER: Hi Neha again,

it is the Christian zealots that spread rumors about, infertility , breastcancer and serious complications after abortion. Especially American elderly ladies, like Pat G. here, even  at All Experts, are terrible women haters. They think they are experts, but they are not. They frighten and hate women who think for themselves and want to decide about their own lives. Please do not believe what they say.
Women like Pat G.  never really loved, they never had pleasure in sex.
You are a healthy young woman. No difference with any other healthy woman. Stop worrying.
Take care !
Bests,
Dr Shan

QUESTION: Thanks again sir. Please clear my this doubt also. I am 23 yrs. old. I had abortion before marriage in last november 2009. I did great mistake sir and i am regretting for it. If sir, I GET MARRIED TO SOME OTHER BOY, then in any case will he come to know about my abortion, through check ups or by some other means. Also during my first contact i didn't have bleeding too as i am active in sports (this might be the reason for it). Kindly answer this query sir. I will be thakful to you.

Answer
Hi Neha, we might become friends !!!

If you marry, your partner can never know you had an abortion if you do not tell him.
But my advise would be: Tell him the truth. An important secret is not a good start for a
marriage.
Bye for now.
Take care.
