Question
hello i had a surgical abortion at 16 weeks,i bled for about six to eight weeks,is this normal? also i had an ultrasound done almost three months after abortion and they said everything was looking fine, but i also wanna know, how can they check for infection,do they check for infection even if i dont have symptons like pain or fever? and will this affect my fertility? please answer each question i am worried THANKYOU SO MUCH!

Answer
Hi Isabel,

what makes you think something went wrong?
Bleeding and periods after an abortion tend to be irregular and unpredictable.
If there is no fever or pain, there is no infection. Nothing to be checked. It's never
done.
If the abortion was in a medical facility done by a doc, this will not affect your
fertility.
no worry !
By for now,
