QUESTION: hello, i had a surgical abortion on july 31 because of an incomplete miscarriage. on august the 10th i made love to my husband, how possible is it that i got pregnant? on the 17th of august i began having an odorless white vaginal discharge, what does this mean?

ANSWER: Hi Monica,
you should have been told that nothing must be put in your vagina until 3 weeks after the abortion. Including sex. There is a fat chance of an infection then.
Yes, 10 days after the abortion there is an ovulation, so a pregnancy is possible.
The odorless white discharge will disappear after your next period.
It only means that the cleaning of your vagina for the abortion killed the normal bacteria. It takes some time to restore these normal bacteria.
So no worry, and no unprotected sex unless you want a baby.

QUESTION: thank you for your prompt answer, i made a follow up question after i received your answer. just to inform you, i just have finished taking my antibiotic and other medications that were prescribed after the needed abortion. the only thing is that i am still a bit swollen, is that ok?....oh! i was also diagnosed with colitis nerviosa (i dont know how to translate it to english), that also may have to do with the swelling. in case i am pregnant, when would the first symptoms be present?...thank you again for your courtesy.

Hi Monica again,

When you had your abortion last day of july the pregnancy test is now negative.
So better buy a pregtest and confirm that you are pregnant or not.
That is more sure than other vague symptoms.
