Answer
Hello, khushi,

PLEASE DO NOT take the kit. It can kill you. It won't work at this point anyway. Nobody knows if it will complicate future pregnancies or not. They are refusing to do the research. I think they are afraid of what they will find out.

Have you tested for pregnancy?

You should have a doctor test you to see if your pregnancy (if you have one) is even likely to produce a child, because about 1/4 of pregnancies end up in miscarriage. If you would have a miscarriage, there would certainly be no point in taking any kind of risks.

Since you are in the United States, there is also no reason why you shouldn't be able to have your baby, if you are pregnant. Then, if having a child will pose a problem, you can give your baby up for adoption. There are organizations throughout the United States that help women in your situation. They provide all kinds of help. You deserve better than abortion. You should visit the one nearest you and hear what they have to say. They will tell you about the risks you are thinking of taking, and about your alternatives. You can find one near you by going to this web site:

http://www.pregnancycenters.org/

Among the risks of the kit are: bleeding to death, having a ruptured uterus, dying from Toxic Shock Syndrome (it only takes hours), and getting breast cancer. It also puts a woman at grave emotional risk, and can even lead to suicide, drug and alcohol abuse, self abuse, eating and sleep disorders, homicide, and fatal accident.

PLEASE don't hurt yourself. You are right to be worried, but by far, taking the MTP kit is more dangerous than having a baby. Please stay safe and let me know how you do.

Expertise

I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of eleven. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues. I am not a doctor, but I have done extensive medical research, so I may be able to help with information. I am female. When you write, if you are or were pregnant, please tell me how far along you were or are, and if you have had an abortion, please tell me what kind. Thank you.

Experience

I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.
