Answer
Hello, maggie,

When a woman takes the abortion pill that late, it is not likely to do anything. The reason is that the way the pill works is to cut off the mother's supply of progesterone, and by 7 weeks, the baby is making enough to take its place. God wanted you to have a baby in the first place, so He gave you one. I learned this especially when one of our sons fathered a baby by a woman he's not married to. The change in his outlook and his life is wonderful to behold. He is determined to be a good father, loves his daughter dearly, and wants to make sure his life is what it needs to be. Quite often, God will give a woman a child because He wants to offer that same opportunity.

It is unlikely the pill has caused any problems. Don't be afraid to carry your baby and give birth. I am here for you any time you have any questions. Please know that it is common for women to worry about their babies being all right. It doesn't matter whether the mother did anything or if she is just worried in general. Since we can't see our babies before birth, we tend to worry. Take it easy. You both should be fine. If there are any problems, the doctor will let you know. Get good prenatal care, and take your prenatal vitamins.

Since I have raised seven children, I can answer questions about that as well.

Please take care of both of you, and keep in touch. I am looking forward to seeing a picture. :)

Expertise

I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of eleven. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues. I am not a doctor, but I have done extensive medical research, so I may be able to help with information. I am female. When you write, if you are or were pregnant, please tell me how far along you were or are, and if you have had an abortion, please tell me what kind. Thank you.

Experience

I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.
