Hi Doc,

I had my last period on 5th of dec, unprotected sex on 11th of dec, i have missed my periods and by my calculation it has been 38 days. I took 4 pregnancy tests and all came positive.

I have got 8 tabs of cytotec I was told to insert 2 and have t\2 orally following which every 3 hours have 2 more, Is this dosage correct.

I was told there would be heavy bleeding and i would be weak, what should i be eating during this time, I am really scared because I am doing this alone. Please advise me

Hi Serene,
Why unprotected sex in the first place ?
The dosage is correct.Though inserting in the vagina is not a must.
Do not swallow the tablets but let them melt in your cheek.
Two tabs every two hours.
After one hour you can spit out what's left of it. Just chalk.
When you swallow the tabs, the drug comes in your stomach
where it can cause pain and diarrhea.
No special diet needed.
Your pregnancy is still very young so there will not be too heavy bleeding.
If you are afraid about being alone I advise women to take the pills in the
waitingroom of any hospital. There is a toilet to check what's happening
and if something goes wrong  (very very seldom) you just are in a safe place.
Do not mention the use of the drug. You could have a spontaneous abortion.
