Abortion/will i have complications with sex after an abortion?

Question
I had an abortion about 13 days ago. I was 17 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I know I was supposed to wait 2 weeks to have sex after the abortion but me and my boyfriend had sex last night. I've been feeling totally fine and have not been bleeding. I can say the sex was very painful and when he pulled out the condom was covered with a brownish discharge..Then after my vagina was hurting like if it was sore, is this normal and will sex continue to be painful in the future?

Answer
Hi Jamie,
the brownish stuff is old blood.
Its better to give your body some time to relax and heal after the abortion.
There are other ways of sex than penetration.
After a second trimester abortion I always advise to wait until after the first normal period.
Sex will not continue to be painful but give it some time.
Whats the hurry anyway ?
Bests,
