Hello Doctors,

I had may last official period on Sept 11, 2010. Me and my boyfriend had a feeling that I am pregnant when my monthly period didn't arrived on Oct and Nov and had experienced early symptoms of pregnancy but we didn't do any tests.

We bought a set of 800mg cytotec on November, 8 pcs if I am not mistaken. Taken orally and vaginally. At that time, I didn't have much knowledge about on how and where will I going to insert it. We waited for few days and still, nothing happened and had a doubt that the meds aren't authentic. We decided to go back to where we first bought it and again, the seller was the one who inserted it to me on Nov.17, vaginally and left few tablets for me to take orally (different tabs from my first set but she said it's the same). After an hour, I felt some sort of cramping in my tummy. Then, the blood followed (liquid and brown in color). Early in the morning, I went to the bathroom and kidney bean-shaped, less than 2 inches firm and fresh meat-like blood has dropped from my cervix. My bleeding lasted for 4 days. During the 1st two days, it was heavy and followed by spotting on the last 2 days. I thought that was it. But several weeks later I felt my tummy is still growing and now I had an ultrasound. My baby is already more than 16 weeks old. He/she is lively, we saw his arms and legs, and the heart, beating healthily.

My worry is that is there any chance that he will still be born normally? I mean not handicapped or whatever the abortion meds have caused him? :( It seems in the ultrasound that he's healthy but of course others defects cannot be seen from it especially he's just 16 months old now and we didn't even know its gender yet. We already decided to keep our baby no matter what kind of sacrifices this will bring us.

Beware of a doctor who might tell you your baby is defected and they don't really know. So many women have had abortions because the doctor told them something was wrong but it really wasn't. So be careful who you pick for a doctor. You can probably find a referral from one of those pregnancy centers. Hope to hear from you soon.
