Question
I had an abortion 4 days ago it was a surgical one I only bleed that day but aftet that I noticed a putty like discharge n my pad I just wanted to know if that was normal im not bleeding at all is that normal too I stopped wearing a pad n fear that the pad was causing the discharg

Answer
The bleeding pattern is normal.  The pad does not cause discharge.  You can start with dark blood.  It will progress to red and you can pass small clots.  With the surgical abortion the bleeding pattern is delayed because the lining has been removed.  You may get some cramping.  Make sure you have Ibuprofen.
