Hello Dr.

Well in my case i had an abortion about a month ago, Nov. 5, 2011. I felt everything went well. I only had some bleeding that same day. I was given some birth control pills(note: this is the first time i have taken any contraceptives.)about a couple of days ago Dec. 1. i began to have some bleeding, i was thinking it was my period, because i felt some cramps , but the blood was more like brownish blood,it wasn't heavy though, i thought maybe it's still from abortion, not sure. well about after three days of that blood. I now began to have this crazy itching in the vagina area, labium minor, and have some skin peeling in the outer area(labia majora). and also havin some discharge, it doesn't have a bad odor, it looks like tiny white clots.
So im not quite sure if it might of been the birth control pills i took that made me have this bad itching.
I have set up a post abortion appointment for next week.

I hope you had your post abortion checkup by now. I haven't heard of this before so wouldn't be able to diagnose but your doctor could. Hope all is well. Oh, and I generally don't recommend birth control pills or any kind of hormonal birth control. I feel that there are many side effects and risks from hormones. So be careful about that, too.
