Next Choice is Effective – When used as directed, the risk of getting pregnant is reduced by as much as 89% if taken within 72 hours of unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. A study demonstrated efficacy is even greater within 24 hours.

The Nuva Ring becomes effective within 1-2 weeks.  We have our patients use it on day 3 after a procedure.

We run a practice called Early Options, located in New York City: http://www.EarlyAbortionOptions.com. The practice is dedicated to making early abortion part of mainstream medical care. There are other family doctors around the United States who practice a similar approach to early abortion care: see http://www.EarlyAbortion.com.
