Answer
Hello, Katie,

I'm not clear on the reason why you think you are too young to have a child. You have been physically able to bear a child for several years. If you mean you are not emotionally ready, or you have financial problems, or something like that, there is help available for you. There are organizations in UK that help women in your position. To find one near you, go to this web site:

Abortion is very dangerous for the mother, and can kill her or leave her seriously harmed. The purpose of abortion is to kill the baby, so of course, it should be said it will hurt the baby. It's not a pleasant way to die, either. I have talked to many, many women who have discovered that having an abortion does not set a woman's mind at rest. Most women regret it for the rest of their lives. Many cannot even talk about it.

I hope you will find a better choice, one you can live with. There are many, many women who have had babies at 18, and have made good mothers. You can, too. Your baby is depending on you for your protection. You are the only person who can protect your baby. I will be here for you. Please let me know how things go. Take care, and stay safe!

Expertise

I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of eleven. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues. I am not a doctor, but I have done extensive medical research, so I may be able to help with information. I am female. When you write, if you are or were pregnant, please tell me how far along you were or are, and if you have had an abortion, please tell me what kind. Thank you.

Experience

I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.
