Abortion/bleeding after abortion

Question
i am from iran,i had a surgical abortion 12 days ago, i was around 6 weeks pregnant at the time, the doctor performed the abortion without asking me for an ultrasonography, so later on i doubted if the pregnancy was ectopic?! my beta hcg level was 30.000 before abortion, and ten days after the abortion reduced to 800.  my doctor says its still too high, but that the reduction is a good sign that the pregnancy was not ectopic, is that so? i also did a transvaginal ultrasonography 2 days ago, would the radiologist realize if there was an ectopic pregnancy? am still worried as i have a strange pain and a feeling of discomfort in the right side of my belly.
the radiologist said that there were a few small clots left that would gradually come off during the current bleeding or the next period and that there was nothing serious to worry about. but my doctor worries about an incomplete abortion and says i might need to go through a second abortion if the beta hcg level does not lower down to 100, or if the bleeding does not stop.
i also wonder if the bleeding is normal? i didnt have any bleeding for 5 days after my abortion, but it suddenly started with a heavy flow and lasted for 2 days and then started to reduce, i still have intermittent bleeding and every time the bleeding starts i have period pain and cramps. i also see some grape-size clots with my bleeding. its important to add that im not moving around much, and have been in a bed rest since my abortion. i will be waiting for your reply.

Answer
You should get up and walk around.  Staying in bed will prevent the uterus from expelling all the clots.  Bleeding is normal after an abortion and you can have cramping.  The grape size clots are normal.  You can take Ibuprofen for cramping.  You have a normal course.  With a beta of 800, you do not have an ectopic.  It takes 2-4 weeks for the beta to lower to 100.
