Good morning, pls I need ur help. I had sex on d 3rd of June this year and now I'm pregnant. 6 days ago, I took 4 pills of cytotec(virginally and orally) 8hrs later I took another 2pills orally and nothing happened. 2days ago, I took another type of misoprostol the same manner and experinced serious pain in my stomach annd started releasing tiny drops of blood. Yesterday, I did the same, no blood came out although I had serious abdominal pain. Pls am I still pregnant? Has d drugs failed me? Anxiously waiting for ur response. Thanks

Dear Jessica,
I don't know who advised you to use Cytotec the way you did...but the method you used is absolutely wrong.
You need to take the Cytotec tablets in your mouth, and keep them there in your cheek for one hour.
The drug passes the  mucous membrane in your mouth. After one hour spit out what is left; just some chalk. No taste.
Now listen: eg you start at 10 o'clock in the morning with two tabs in your cheek. at 12 o'clock again two tabs and repeat this every two hours
5 times.
No tabs in your vagina, and do not swallow the tabs either.
This will be a good method in a young pregnancy like yours.
You may notice cramps in your belly and the pregnancy - still very small - with some blood will come out.
What you need is 20 tabs.
After 3 weeks you can do a pregnancytest. Not before, as the test stays positive for 3 weeks anyway. The pregnancy hormones leave the boddy
very slowly.
