Question
my wife and i felt like it was to early to have a child so we decided to get an abortion she was 2 months 8 weeks when we got the fetus aborted, now though she wasn't feeling well and went to the doctor she found out she was 6 months pregnant. is this possible if she got the surgical procedure? she had it vacuumed

Answer
Hello, ibrahim,

I assume that she was either 2 months or 8 weeks. Is that correct?

It is entirely possible that they missed the baby. It happens more often than many people know.

Abortion is very dangerous and very hard on a woman's body. Count yourself lucky that the abortion didn't succeed. She will be healthier as a result. You really owe it to her to protect her from abortion. Don't try to do anything about the fact she is 6 months pregnant. Anything anyone did to her at this point would be extremely dangerous, and she might not survive.

It is not too early to have a child, if you are married. It is perfectly acceptable. If you feel you cannot raise the child, put him or her up for adoption. But please don't hurt your wife any further. She has been hurt enough. Please take care of her. Let me know how things go.

Expertise

I can help women with the consideration of their decision, and with resources, and I can share my own experiences as the mother of seven and grandmother of eleven. My approach is to show love and concern, and help women work through the issues, emotional, spiritual, practical. I also help women deal with boyfriend and family issues. I am not a doctor, but I have done extensive medical research, so I may be able to help with information. I am female. When you write, if you are or were pregnant, please tell me how far along you were or are, and if you have had an abortion, please tell me what kind. Thank you.

Experience

I have been working with women who are considering abortion for several years. I also work with women who have had abortions. Our family has also experienced adoption, so I can talk about that as well.

Education/Credentials
I am mostly self-taught. I also studied midwifery for awhile. I have spent years doing research on this topic. In fact, I have been doing research and working in this area since the early 1970's. I have been helping women online for a few years, under the guidance of a woman who was formally training in counseling.
