Abortion/sex after abortion

Question
hi there,
i had an abortion 4 days ago and had sex with my boyfriend last night. i felt fine before and had almost no bleeding at all. this morning though i am bleeding quite a bit and having really painful cramp like pains. we wore a condom and were careful but i am scared something is wrong. besides the higher risk of infection, is there anything else that might be wrong now?

Answer
This is a normal response.  Cramping is due to the stimulation of the uterus.  Take Ibuprofen 800 mg every 6 hours for the pain. Just use condoms and that will prevent infection.  Just know you may get cramping.  You can take the Ibuprofen before sex and a dose 6 hous later to prevent the cramping.
