Question
hello  I had an abortion almost  two months ago and still  spotting. I have had  my  first period  was  very  heavy and  then it stopped  spotting. then a couple days later  it would spot  off and on.  had my second period and it was  very dark  and lasted  7 days  and now im spotting  a little again but its red  not dark. Is everything normal

Answer
This can be normal after a surgical abortion.  If you had a medical abortion, this can happen.  You may want to check in with your doctor if the next period is not normal. If you are on contraception this can happen.

You may want to check in with your doctor.  Especially if the spotting continues.  I usually have my patients come in for a vaginal ultrasound.
