Abortion/Birth Control after abortion

Question
I had an abortion on February and it seems that since going back to the pill as birth control, I experience two menstrual cycles every month. This had never happened before, the pills brand has been changed. Is this something that I should be concerned? I have been taking pills as contraceptives for almost 8 years. Since then I have two children. I also tried the patch.

Answer
Hi Wilhda,
the pill you take could be to weak. Just try another brand but take care: after changing the first month is risky.
There is no danger in this "breakthrough bleeding" half the period. Just annoying.
If you can cope with it its OK also.
No worry.
bye for now,
dr Shan
