The pregnancy hormone can stay in your system up to a month after you have had an abortion, so the positive result you are getting is probably false.  Also, birth control or not, you usually will not ovulate for three to six weeks after an abortion, so two weeks would probably be alright.

I used depo provera for some time, and the longest waiting period for effectiveness I have heard is one week.  I am sure you are fine!

Expertise

I am available to talk to anyone who needs someone to talk to about their feelings concerning a prospective or past abortion. I have general knowledge of abortion procedures (what to expect), and resources for folks who need some extra help. If I can`t answer your question, I won`t make anything up and I will do my best to refer you to someone who can be of more assistance to you.

Experience

I have been very active around abortion rights issues for quite awhile now in different cities and in different contexts. I have also had 2 abortions myself, so I can speak from personal experience too.
But, I am NOT a doctor, so please, if you have specific medical questions know that I will always respond that you should consult a physician. I don't think anyone should rely on Experts.Com as a source for medical questions - go to a clinic or hospital instead and speak to a verifiable expert - one with an MD on the wall where you can see it!
